What is Citizens On Patrol?
The Citizens On Patrol (COP) Program is sponsored and supervised by the Cedar Hill Police Department's P.A.C.T. Unit and is designed to give citizens an opportunity to take an active roll in keeping their community safe.
Those interested in participating in the COP Program must be graduates of the Citizens Police Academy and undergo additional training in such areas as; recognizing suspicious activity and various patrol techniques designed to improve observation skills.
The COP program serves as a vital part of the overall mission of the Cedar Hill Police Department by helping to promote and maintain a safe environment in partnership with the community.
