On May 4, Cedar Hill voters elected Gerald Malone to City Council Place 1 and re-elected Chad McCurdy to City Council Place 4. Election results will be canvassed by the City Council and the elected members will be sworn in on May 14 at 7 p.m.  All results are unofficial until canvassed by the City Council.

 Gerald Malone  - 2,146 votes (64%)
 Shirley Daniels - 1,186 votes (36%)

Council Member Place 4
 Bertha Middlebrooks - 1,491 votes (44%)
 Chad A. McCurdy - 1,864 votes (56%)

The City Secretary has certified the applications of the following candidates running for City Council Places 1 and 4.   A drawing to determine the order that candidate names will appear on the ballot will be held at 9am on Monday, February 26, 2024 in Conference Room D located in the Cedar Hill Government Center, 285 Uptown Blvd., Bldg. 100, Cedar Hill, TX 75104. The results of the drawing are reflected below.

Order of Election 

On February 13, 2024, the City Council issued an Order of Election for the May 4, 2024 to elect City Council Places 1 and 4.  

The next City of Cedar Hill General Election will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024.  

The following places are up for election:

• Place 1
• Place 4

Notice of Deadline to File an Application for Place on the Ballot

Application packets will be available for pick-up on January 5, 2024 in the City Secretary's Office, located on the 4th Floor of the Cedar Hill Government Center, 285 Uptown Blvd., Bldg. 100, Cedar Hill, TX 75104.     

The first day to file an application for a place on the ballot is January 17, 2024.  The deadline to file an application for a place on the ballot is 5pm on February, 16, 2024.
