Gerald Malone was elected to the Cedar Hill City Council, Place 1 in 2024. Prior to his election to the city council, Gerald served on the Planning and Zoning Commission and on the Beautification and Environmental Sustainability Board. Gerald was also a member of the 2017 Bond Committee, the Cedar Hill Next Comprehensive Plan Committee, and the City's education committee. 

A Cedar Hill resident for more than 23 years, Gerald has a long history of community service. He is a mentor through Tower of Faith Outreach and a member of CHISD All Pro Dads. He supports Cedar Hill veterans as a member of the Cedar Hill Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary. Gerald is active in his church, Point of Light Church in Cedar Hill.  
Gerald's priority as a city council member is to prioritize a holistic approach to serving the community that encompasses public safety, physical, social, economic, and environmental factors that make our community a great place, with the ultimate goal of improving the quality of life for all residents.
Gerald has worked in the aerospace sector for more than 21 years. He is currently the senior lead of the composite structural test lab, in charge of putting  aircraft parts through rigorous testing to ensure they adhere to strict quality and safety requirements.

Gerald and his wife Anissa have been married for 28 years and are the blessed parents of three children, Kaitlyn, Donovan and Loryn.
