Cedar Crest: Building a Better CommunityAlong a scenic ridge at the far south end of the city is the up and coming Cedar Crest neighborhood. Bound on the west by South Cedar Hill Road and east by Red Oak Creek, this growing community is currently home to over 400 families with more on the horizon.

Early development began in 1998, followed by additional tracts in 2009. When all phases of construction are complete the subdivision will include 655 homesites, many situated atop the wooded crest and along creek tributaries that run throughout the area.

Residents enjoy adjacent Liberty Park and are within easy walking distance of nearby Dot Thomas Park. With the construction of Red Oak Creek Trail, expected to begin in summer 2012, Cedar Crest’s connection to the city’s master trail plan will be complete.
