Swine influenza (also called swine flu, hog flu, and pig flu) refers to influenza caused by those strains of influenza virus that usually infect pigs and are called swine influenza virus. Swine influenza is common in pigs in the midwestern United States, Mexico, Canada, South America, Europe.

Symptoms
The symptoms of swine flu in people are similar to the symptoms of regular human flu:
                          1: Fever,          4: Body aches
                          2: Cough,        5: Headache
                          3: Sore throat  6: Chills and Fatigue.
Some people have reported diarrhea and vomiting associated with swine flu. Like seasonal flu, swine flu may cause a worsening of underlying chronic medical condition.

Precautions
   1. Keep your distance from and avoid close contact with people who are sick.
   2. If you are sick, stay at home and keep your distance from other people to prevent spreading the 'flu virus.
   3. Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue and turn your head away from other people when you cough or sneeze. 
   4: Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it
   4. Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze to protect yourself from germs. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
   5. Avoid touching your nose, eyes and mouth.
   6. To keep your immune system healthy, get enough sleep, eat plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, exercise regularly, drink at least 8 glasses of water a day and keep stress levels to the minimum.
 The CDC has also asked if you are sick with flu-like symptoms not to travel by plane or bus.
