MISSION AND VALUES
Marshals will diligently protect and defend the institution of our Municipal Court, the safety and security of our Judge, Staff and all citizens who attend our Court. In order to maintain a high degree of credibility & authority, our Marshals shall encourage accountability of all citizens, and relentlessly pursue and bring to justice those persons who fail to comply with any court order resulting in a warrant for their arrest.
Our Marshals are certified peace officers dedicated to serving Cedar Hill with integrity, professionalism, and respect. We protect the institution of our Municipal Court, ensuring safety for all participants in the court process, and hold individuals accountable for all participants in the court process, and hold individuals accountable for their actions. HISTORY OF THE MARSHAL'S OFFICE
The Cedar Hill Marshal's Office has evolved alongside the city, founded as part of the growing community's need for law enforcement. Initially tasked with ensuring the smooth operation of the Municipal Court, the marshals' responsibilities have expanded as Cedar Hill grew into a thriving city. Today, the Marshal's Office remains a cornerstone of local law enforcement, balancing tradition with modern-day practices.
CERTIFIED PEACE OFFICERS
Our Marshals are certified by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), and undergo extensive training to ensure they are fully equipped to handle the responsibilities of law enforcement. They are authorized to enforce laws, make arrests, and provide a variety of services both within Cedar Hill and across Texas. Their ongoing professional development ensures they are prepared to meet the evolving needs of the community.
